Why do you think the political organizations including the Indian National Congress were founded?

Indian National Congress, Indian political party, founded in 1885. Its founding members proposed economic reforms and wanted a larger role in the making of British policy for India.Initially the congress aimed at educating people about the goodness of benefits of BRITISH RULE but ultimately it became a full fledged political organization for attainment of independence.Other such organizations were established with similar views of obtaining freedom,spreading nationalism,making people aware of the true nature of British rule,educating them about their rights and working for the upliftment of the socially backward.
