If I’m trying to be even remotely scientific, Mowgli acted less like food and more like a orphaned wolf cub. Wolves in the pack will care for, even nurse, cubs that aren’t their own.
There have been scientists who have integrated themselves into wolf packs before with some success and the “raised by wolves”is a legend several millennia old (it had to have some factual basis at one time you would think.
