There was bitterness between Muslims and the British after 1857 because
- Muslims were angry because Bahadur Shah Zafar was shifted to Rangoon
- Due to which many Muslims set a revolt against the Britishers and that is why they did not have good relations.
- Another main reason for the bitterness was Khilafat movement between them due to which there were differences between Britishers and the Muslim community.
