why do you think there was deep silence in the class after Miss Mason read out Mr Petronski's letter?

After getting Mr Petronski's letter, Miss Mason was very unhappy and upset. She looked at the class and spoke in a low voice. She said that none of the students in that class would knowingly hurt anyone's feelings because their name seemed funny. It was really very unfortunate.

After Miss Mason read the letter from Wanda's father stating that Wanda would not come to that school again as she was bullied, the class was taken by surprise. They had not expected Wanda to leave the school. Their silence indicates that they realised their mistake and regretted making fun of Wanda. They learn a lesson about tolerance and friendship, and Miss Mason understood this and reassured the children telling them that she knew they had not done this deliberately.

Please mark as brainliest..the other answer is not correct..its telling "what" happened, but the question is "why" it happened
