*Note: As Mr Griffith so correctly pointed out, anarchy isn’t “mob” rule … it’s no rules whatsoever. Ideally it means people cooperate with each other in a peaceful manner … realistically it means people do what they want, when they want, to whomever they wish, because there is no law to tell them that they can’t.

And democracy is for all intents and purposes, mob rule (or, if you prefer the nicer word, “majority” rule), which is great if you happen to be in the majority and not so great if you aren’t. Many people try to make democracy (the cake) more palatable by calling it a democratic republic (“republic” being the icing on the cake) but that’s misleading.
