Explanation:

When my maternal grandfather left for the heavens, it was obvious for the family and friends to flock in large numbers. Everyone had their own reasons and memories to miss him and shed tears in his remembrance.

However, we were all gobsmacked to witness something unexpected that followed. The doors to our house had been deluged by a gargantuan count of unknown people for days. Trust me, I am throwing no hyperboles out here. My Nanaji was a big person in Nepali industrial circles and thus had a big outreach out there.

Later upon confabulating with many of those individuals, young and old, we found all the more reasons to worship and miss him. Nanaji had been paying for education fees of so many young and aspiring boys and girls.

At the same time, he had also been arranging for delivering a monthly lot of grains to equally many families out of his rice and oil mill. None of us in the family ever developed an inkling, while he had been doing this for decades.

The man had left this world, but his admirers were not prepared to accept that fact. People prayed for him to come back alive somehow. People cried for him. They loved and celebrated him like he was their own family.

Now that is the death I want to die. That is the legacy which Nanaji has left behind for all of his children, including me to learn and take inspiration from-

“Live a life, which inspires, helps, imbues and empowers. And, when it’s no more, its direly missed. That’s the lifetime where a life is worth all the time.”

That is the inspiration which defines my entrepreneurial goals as well. I don’t wish to be owner of a Billion dollar company. That is not my desire. My ambition is to build a company, which helps pull thousands out of the misery, gives them plenty of reasons to smile and thus, runs the house of thousands of people.

I wish to be parent to a company which provides employment to thousands and thousands of men and women and purveys peace and prosperity. It should and will be something work-force intensive, bringing together a lot of people.

It will be a family apart from my blood family. One I would have knitted together on my own, with my dearest Nanaji’s grace and blessings. In that course if I someday end up with a Billion Dollar company, that would be a great ancillary achievement.

But, that is not and never will be my primary goal. Because the real goal is only to carry forward and magnify my beloved Nanaji’s legacy. However, that’s not all. That is not the only reason why I wish to be an entrepreneur.

There is another man who fires this innate desire of mine- My beloved father. It is what my father always wanted to accomplish. He never wanted a boss on his head. He wanted to be his own boss. Alas, his earlier ventures failed and hit our finances pretty bad.

Consequently, he had to settle for a job then. But, the flame in him had never vanished. He kept learning and gleaning experiences for fifteen prolonged years working in the industry that he wished to later run a business in.

And finally, at a later stage of his life he did gave his dream another shot. In fact, that is what he had been engrossed into in his last days in this world. But, life wasn’t kind enough to grant him a few more years to live his dream. He fell short of time and had to leave for his heavenly abode just after he got his firm registered.

We had to shut that nascent firm right away. But, the pain from that shut down remains in my heart. I wish to resurrect that dream of my father. I want to realize it in such grand manner that my father would have every reason to smile at me for the rest of my life until I join him in the heavens above.

It’s not my responsibility. I don’t owe him to live his dreams. But, it’s a personal desire for my father deserved this and life had been too unkind to him. Ergo, I want to do for my father, what he wasn’t allowed to accomplish. For I know that had his life not have ended so soon, he would have made it big this time.

My knack of entrepreneurship is largely inspired from my father and maternal grandfather’s lives, legacy and dreams. However, even that’s not it. There is another reason, and this one comes from me. I am supremely ambitious. I am a highly pragmatic dreamer with an enormous deal of confidence in my ability to learn and my tenacity to rise back upon falling.
