Why do young people often find transition between school and university challenging

According to me,this is a very natural to get a strange feelin before change.
The main reasons can be as under:-
1)Stories about ragging - Before joining colleges,students hear a lot of real and fake stories about ragging.In school children are safe but in college that are basically on their own.
2)Separation anxiety-Children become attached to their classmates,teachers and even canteen.In later life we always remember school days as best time of our life.Therefore speratin from their childhood friends makes them insecure
3)Fear of unknown- Till they are adjusted in college students feel the atmosphere of college very different from school.They do not know what to how and adjust with this atmosphere
Some of the common reasons why young people often find the transition between school and university challenging are:
- Adjusting into the new environment, most students undertaking their first year at the university are having difficult times fitting into the new environment. University campuses are large groups of buildings can be associated with the institutions. Finding rooms can be a real difficult especially when the university consists of different buildings.
- Building relationships and new friends, most students often start their first year at the university excited in making friends and meeting new people but sometimes, university is not considered as a friendly place, as more students going to the university are more focused on their academic life than their social life.
- University workload is also considered as one of the issues that cause a student to withdraw and give up their studies. It is because of their lack of confidence and generally these types of students are the ones who do not know how to manage their time for every subject which ended them up of leaving their study course.
