dodo became the feast of Dutch sailors they use to eat him because hunting him was really easy.

Dodo became extinct many years ago. It is believed that they became extinct because the Dutch sailors ate them as their meal and as the Dodo's were easy to catch they caught them and made dodo's their meal.Bones of at least two dodos were found in caves at Baie.
