Why does 2 pentene is formed as the major product when 2 bromo pentane is treated with alc. Koh?

due to saytzeff rule..... the compound having more methyl groups would be more stable always.... so Instead of pent-1-ene..... ( 1 methyl group).... pent-2-ene is favoured (2 methyl groups)....

always remember .. more methyl groups more stability..
