Why does 2p orbital exist but 2d orbital does not exist?

2p means...n=2
for n=2.........................
for l i.e.,(azimuthal quantum number )values r 0,1
l=0..means  (s subshell)
l=1..means(p subshell)
so only s,p subshell comes in case of n=2............
