Because an aqueous solution of an acid contains free moving ions due to which it conducts electricity.....REMEMBER IT HAS FREE IONS NOT FREE ELECTRONS....

Why does the aqueous solution of acid conduce electricity?

Answer :-

The aqueous solution of an acid contains free ions .That is why it can conduct electricity.

Details :

The acid is a compound which dissociates in aqueous solution to give a large concentration of hydrogen ions.

Thus these hydrogen ions are free ions which can stay in a solution.

Thus  acid can easily conduct electricity because electricity is nothing but the movement of free electrons.
