because friction.while boll rolling on ground its speed decreases due to friction

A ball rolling on the ground slows down due to friction acting on it. If the surface on which ball is rolling it smooth, the Ball would cover more distance compared to a rough surface. The air around it would cause a resistance and also Slow it Down.
