When a ball is thrown upwards Gravity forces the ball to move to the same path where it came from that is, downwards. Therefore the ball thrown upwards comes down.

Ball thrown upwards fall vertically because of the force of gravity act on the ball
when the force of gravity acts on a object the
object can't fly like the object can fly in space
because space did not have any gravitational force .
