why does a child in merry -go- round press the side of his seat radially outwards? give right answer ( some answer given in academics is wrong)

It is due to a fictitious force i.e Centrifugal force. It is not a real force but it is taken in account for a person sitting in the merry go round to.

This is because centrifugal force acting radially outwards on the child actually rotating in the merry go round.
