Heya !!!

This is your answer.....

We know that when a compass is placed in a magnetic field. It shows deflection.

In magnetic compass. there is a small magnet which is suspended freely.

So when this magnetic compass is placed inside the magnetic field of another magnet. It deflects from its original position.
Same happens when it is placed near a magnetic wire bcoz magnetic wire also creates magnetic field.

This is the reason why it is advised to keep compass away from any magnetic field or any current carrying conductor.

It will not show correct direction because of deflection.

Hope it helpsss

HI

✨A compass needle gets deflected when brought near a bar magnet since:-

⏹️A compass needle is a small bar magnet with one north and the other south pole.

⏹️When a magnet is brought near the compass, the north pole of the compass gets attracted by the south pole of the magnet and vice-versa.

Hope it proved to be beneficial....
