Why does a concave mirror have a real principal focus, while convex mirror have virtual pricipal focus?

Explanation:

The concave mirror has a real principal focus because in concave mirror, all the incident rays which are parallel to principal axis pass through the focus F after reflected by the concave mirror.

That makes the real principal focus whereas a center of concave lens is thinner, therefore, during the pass of parallel light rays through lens the refracted rays diverge to appear like coming from one point.
