Why does a conch shell produce large sound when blown?? Anybody please help...!!

Hello,
A conch shell has cavity which has it's own fequency to produce sound so, when we blow in it, if the frequency which we produce matches the one in the cavity of conch,then the frequency is known as resonant frequency which produces a large sound.
