Why does a convex mirror forms a virtual image.

Convex mirrors have the property of DIVERGING rays of light. ... This isbecause the reflected ray of light always diverge from a convex mirror surface. Hence the the divergent ray appears to come from behind the convex surface. Hence form virtual image.
