Why does a cool breeze blow in the afternoon on the seashore.

During the day, the sun heats up both the ocean and the land. As water heats up much slower than the land, the air above the land gets warmer. Low pressure will form at land and high pressure will form at ocean cause of cooler air. to compensate, the wind will blow from higher to lower pressure thus causing the wind breeze to be cooler on the seashore.
