On a hot dry day, the temperature is high and humidity is low.The water takes heat from the hot desert cooler and evaporates. The evaporation of water cools the pads and the circulating water. As a result the incoming air also gets cooled down.
hope  this helps u =)

Answer:

The cooling in a desert room cooler is caused by evaporation of water. A desert cooler cools better on a hot and dry day because the higher temperature on a hot day increases the rate of evaporation of water, and the dryness of air also increases the rate of evaporation of water. And due to increase the rate of evaporation of water, a desert room cooler cools better on a hot dry and day.
