why does a dodder plant kill the plant on which it grow?​

dodder plant belongs to cuscuta family

it does not have any leaves which can produce food for it...so its develops thread like structures near a host plant and slowly it twines around the host and takes all nutrients and water from it and kill that host plant again it visits another plant and does the same

Dodder is a parasitic plant . It deprives all the valuable nutrients from the plant it grows killing that plant.
