Why does a fast moving can slow down when its engine is switched off

it can slow down because when engine is on the engine exerts force and energy to the object to move so when engine gets off there is no one to give energy to that object so because of friction it slows down

for a car to move constant force should be applied. we know that F=Ma ,M is the mass of the vehicle including the weight of the people inside it. "a" is the acceleration created by engine.When engine stops a = 0, this means acceleration is absent nd hence force will be zero But the car won't be stopped suddenly.Due to the inertia in motion car will move slowly forward until the resistance stops it....hope this will help u .....plz mark as a brainliest
