Why does a glass pane of window get shattered when a flying stone hits it but is not shattered when hit by a bullet?​

because bullet size is small as compared to stone , also speed of the bullet is more as compared to stone so that it bullet make hole on the glass move .

The flying pebble has a high velocity. When it strikes the glass pane, the velocity becomes zero in a very short interval of time i.e., the rate of change of momentum is large. Therefore, the force applied on the glass pane is large and so, the glass pane shatters.
