why does a greenhouse gets warmer than the surrounding air during clear days?Will it have a similar effect during clear nights?

• actually we know that in cooler areas to get sun light by plants we use a green sheet which traps the sun light and does not allow to go out .
• the same the co2 layer does
• it does not allow the hot air to reflect back
• so why we face many consequences
