Why is the handle of a saucepan made of plastic?
They attached a small plastic bead to the spoon handle with a blob of margarine. ... Why do metal saucepans have plastic or wooden handles? Metal is a good conductor of heat. If the handles of the saucepans were made of metal, they would become too hot to hold and that would be dangerous.

A handle (of a utensil)of iron is made up of plastics because when the food is kept for cooking, the pan gets heated [conducts heat] and the food gets cooked, but the handle of the pan remains uncharged[bcoz plastic is a bad conductor of heat], without causing any harm.
