Hii dear,

# Explaination-
- By law of conservation of momemntum, change in momemntum is zero here.
m1v1+m2v2 = 0
m1v1 = -m2v2
v2 = -m1v1/m2
- Here we can see that, recoil velocity of firearm is inversely proportional to mass of firearm.
- Hence, heavy rifle will have small recoil velocity as compared to small pistol.

Hope that is useful...

HEYA MATE HERE U GO.

Recoil of the rifle V = mu /M

here , mass M of rifle.

For a heavy rifle , mass M is more which is in denominator .

Hence , its recoil velocity V is less.
