This occurs because this is a type of binary fission reproduction to reproduce.

This is bcoz the cell nucleus breaks apart prior to mitosis. Then near the conclusion of mitosis a new cell nucleus is form within each newly created cell. So u see cell do not truly divides their nuclei. They divide their genetic material and then recreate the nuclei around it.
