people which comes in our dream are mostly those which are in our mind before we sleep.

for example when we see a horror movie and we think about the ghost and sleep it is common that we will see a haunted dream ( some people suffer from this reason ). but this is not scientifically proved.

most scientist believe that dreams are just like hallucinations. We see something beside or near us if we are suffering from hallucinations, just like that we see things and people in our dream because that time our mind is creating hallucinations.
