why does a plant die when it is pulled out of the soil?

Most soils have a large supply of nutrients in them, and they get taken up by plants when plants absorb water. ... Nutrients need to be added to replace what is taken out, and the best way to do this is test the soil. Too many nutrients, and it pollutes streams and groundwater, and too little, the plants may die.

a plant die when it is pulled out of the soil because the roots come out of the soil and plant get all nutrition from soil and some times only plant come out of the soil but then also without root how can a plant survive.
