according to the formula P=F/A , there is an inverse relation between pressure and area.
if area is decreased then more pressure is applied or vice versa. so by this theory, the area of the sharp nail is less so it will exert more pressure and would easily pierce anything, while blunt nail has more area so it will exert less pressure and it becomes difficult to pierce with blunt nail.
