A ray of light passing through the center of curvature of a concave mirror gets reflected along same path after reflection. This is because the angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection according to the property. If you are curious enough go out trying it out practically. Now if the light ray is on the Principal axis then it is forming a 90° angle on the mirror/lens surface. Thus it bounces back perpendicularly without diverging in any other direction.

Answer:

because centre of curvature is the normal line for the light rays.

Explanation:

centre of curvature is zero degree.

so, angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection is equal to zero degree.

so, it retraces the path
