a rolling ball stop after travelling certain distance because friction tends to stop it . the force of the ball weaken and the friction increases which tends to stop the ball after sometime

after travelling a few distance rolling ball  stops because of friction offered on it's surface due to the interaction between it's surface and floor. Then it's energy decreases and it rends to stops
