Why does a rubber sucke pressed on a smooth surface get stuck to the surface?

Answer:

Because when the rubber is pressed on the smooth surface the air molecules in escape out which causes difference in the atmospheric pressure thus leading to the sticking of the rubber on the smooth surface.
