The surface area of sharp knife is very small so the pressure exerted by sharp knife is more than the pressure exerted by blunt knife.

We know that, pressure = thrust/area

It can be also said as, pressure = force/area

So, from the above statements the conclusion can be drawn that pressure increases with the decrease in area or pressure and area are inversely proportional to each other. So, as per your question that why a sharp knife cuts better than a blunt knife. The reason is simple that the edge of blunt knife is broader than a sharp knife and due to this in the case of the blunt knife the area is more in the blunt knife than the sharp knife. And if we apply same amount of force in both the knife then the pressure exerted by the sharp knife is more than the blunt knife as pressure is inversely proportional to the area so, it is easier to cut by a sharp knife than a blunt knife.
