Why does a sharp knife cuts objects more efficiently than a blunt knife

THIS IS BECAUSE A SHARP KNIFE APPLIES MORE PRESSURE THAN A BLUNT KNIFE.

THIS IS BECAUSE AS THE KNIFE IS SHARP, IT HAVE LESS AREA OF CONTACT, AND SINCE AREA IS INDIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO PRESSURE.... THE KNIFE APPLIES MORE PRESSURE.

AND VICE VERSA.

this is so bcz sharp knife applies more pressure due to vich it cuts more efficiently while in case of blunt knife it applies less pressure bcz here area is more
