because as the temperature increases it's kinetic energy increase and intermolecular space becomes larger and intermolecular force of attraction starts decreasing, thus, the molecules start moving randomly and therefore the substance starts expand on heating

This is because the particles start vibrating faster and faster.... they donot get bigger in size themselves but when they vibrate, they move away from each other, hence, causing the object or substance to expand in size
