During a hot summer day earth absorb all heat and become hot and dry . earth has the tendency of gaining and lossing of heat quickly. when rainfall occurs earth vets cold water and the latent heat in soil is utilized in evaporation so we feel cool as it lower down the temperature of surrounding.
