The warm weather of summer creates an area of hot air which rises up with all the humidity and moisture content in it.


This creates a void at the bottom and the cool air ushers in, while the warm air above starts condensing the moisture into droplets which fall back to earth.


Thus, during thunderstorms, the temperature lowers down.
