temperature remain constant during the change of state or during melting or boiling point because energy is required for changing the state and to change the state we need to first break down their force of attraction so energy is required to break down the force of attraction. that's why the temperature remain same during the change of state......hope it helps you

HEYA!!!! YOUR ANSWER IS HERE...

The temperature of a substance remains constant at its melting and boiling point until all the substance melts or boils. This is because the heat supplied is continuously used up in changing the state of substance by overcoming the forces of attraction between the particles. This heat energy is absorbed in converting solid into liquid at melting point as latent heat of fusion and liquid into gaseous state at its boiling point as latent heat of vaporisation and temperature remains constant.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU, DEAR.
