Answer:It turns yellow in acidic medium and changes it's colour to red in basic medium.

Explanation:So, soap is reacting on curry (turmeric) which turns reddish brown in colour. When the white cloth is washed in water then it turns yellow because water is neutral and the curry contains turmeric which is a indicator. ... when turmeric react with soap it turn into reddish brown.
