Anonymous: those properties of solution which depends upon relative no. of solute particles (atoms/ions/molecules) but not nature of solute known as colligative properties...
Anonymous: but it depend upon nature of solvent particles
abivijay207: ok
Anonymous: got it or not?

The water molecules need more energy to produce more pressure to escape the boiling point .Thus when salt is added to water the boiling point of water increases if you have any doubt please ask

hey mate!

addition of salt increases boiling point. .

because. . when NaCl is added to water it splits to Na+ and Cl- ion

I.e relative no. of solute particle increases..

I.e colligative property increases. .

which leds to increase in vapour pressure. ..

hence,
boiling point increases. ..
