why does aluminium stop react with water after some time?

Aluminium develops a thin layer of few millimeters of aluminium oxide that prevent aluminium to react with water.

ALUMINIUM STOP REACTING WITH WATER AFTER SOME TIME BECAUSE WHEN WATER REACTS WITH ALUMINIUM IT PRODUCES HYDROGEN AND THIS REACTION IS VERY FAST THAT IT take just few seconds to produce hydrogen .and there is a more reason that aluminium have a thin layer which  also prevents it......
