Amanda grew tired of her mother's nagging. She felt as if her life would have been better without her. So she pictures herself to be a parent-less child, an orphan, roaming the streets. She feels the silence is golden, there were no sounds calling out to her and scolding her; the freedom is sweet, she could do anything she pleased without anyone asking her.
When Amanda is scolded, she does not answer. She slunks into her dream world. But her mother pinpoints even the smallest details from Amanda, or even make her own excuses. According to her, when she is scolding Amanda, she finds Amanda's posture bad and she often gets moody.
