1) When the wind is blowing in the opposite direction, it allows the pilot to have a lower approach speed.
2) It also allows the aircraft to have better braking after touching down.

an aeroplane moves in the opposite direction of an wind when taking off to gain velocity from the upthrust force of ground which take it move above the ground and at gaining terminal velocity it starts flying with a constant speed.
