the astronaut carry a oxygen cylinder with him when he goes to space because in the space is the vacuum that doesn't contain any type of gases, there is not an atmosphere, and as we know that oxygen is very essential for our life if we forget a few seconds oxygen may be our death also cause, so astronaut have to take oxygen cylinder in absence of oxygen .
