Astronauts wear a space suit in the space because there is no oxygen present in space.The space suit provides oxygen to the astronaut .

astronAuts wear special suits because whenever they leave a spacecraft and are exposed to the environment of space. in space there is no air to breathe and no air pressure. space is extremely cold and filled with dangerous radiations. wearing a spacesuit helps the astronAuts to survive in space
