even I am an athlete
so we run fast after race so that we do not get cramps in our legs because during the race we will be using all oxygen Inna respiration and a body is shot of oxygen so it needs the muscles need oxygen all it is at 18 so if you run for sometime and then rest and do some exercise and of course we are muscles would be fit and we not get cramps........ hence we need to run fast to increase our stamina and boost up our body again because we will be using energy if it take glucose it can help us more better thank you it really helped you can mark me as brain list

This is from Newton's Second Law 0f Motion.
When the athlete runs in the race, his body needs more energy.
An athlete needs to supply extra energy to his muscle cells which have worked hard during running.
For this, he breathes faster and deeper so that more oxygen is supplied to the cells.
