Hi there ,

I would ♥ to answer your question ,

And the answer is :-

Earthworms move slowly because glass is a smooth surface. Worms move by using microscopic hairs on their bodies to provide traction so they can pull themselves forward.

Hope this will help you ,

Worms have little microscopic hairs on their bodies that help them in locomotion. Glass is an extremely smooth surface. The glass may also be dry, in which the worm will lose moisture and end up sticking to the glass then dying because it cannot move anymore.
