Through the extraordinary phenomenon of electromagnetic induction, the circulation of an electric current "induces or generates" - for each turn of insulated wire - a small magnetic field. This adds to the other fields that generate other turns. Adding each one, those fields generated by each round, end up producing a final summation field.
Electromagnet creates North pole and South pole on its ends,
and as we know a magnet induces magnetic field of same direction in a ferromagnetic material like iron. these 2 magnetic fields attracts each other because of different polarities facing each other.
