why does an immersion heating rod get white deposits after few uses?

The white colour in the immersion rods are due to the saline content in the water. The water vaporizes when you take the rod out of the bucket. This is because the rod still has some heat energy left in it which is enough to make the water droplets on the surface of the heater to evaporate, leaving the salinity behind.
